The Sorg Easel

-This is the easel that I use everyday and recommend to all artists-

And that is because...

I was very careful making my mind on which studio easel to purchase.  Obviously is an investment that we all hope that is right one and that it will last a lifetime.  So I did my research online, checked on everything on the market that I could find in the United States, South America, Europe and even China.

I've had several studio easels and of course a french one to use out on the field.  But I needed something sturdy for my studio, that could support very large paintings as well as hold small ones.  I never know where my inspiration is going to take me!  I mainly work with oils, but also use acrylics, pastel, etc.  And because of the slow drying characteristic of the oils and of my impatient temperament, I often work on more than one painting on any given day, so I needed an easel versatile enough to hold the continuous change of canvasses as well as something very ergonomic and easy to use.

Lucky for me, I found David Sorg's website and checked out his Signature Easel.  I reviewed all the comments from Professional Artists that recommended it, that alone, illustrated me a lot on the mechanics of his invention  and how they use it and for what purposes.  Then of course, I viewed all of these artist's websites just to verify that they were serious working artists, and they all are.  After that I checked all the online stores that carry the Signature Easel, thinking that it would be on the stores only if is a product that could be guaranteed and it is.

After realizing all the advantages on the Signature Easel:  The ease to move up and down, the ergonomics, all spaces for placing brushes, palette knives, pencils, etc., the handy paper towel holder, the two canisters with lids, the casters, everything!  Just the perfect easel!  Then I found out that all this is possible because David Sorg is an artist himself aside from been an inventor.  And that is what I tell people who come to my studio to see my "wonderful imported easel" that I brag so much about:  Only an artist would know what an artist needs in an easel, that happens to be the primary piece of equipment in an art studio.  And that is what made me want it more.

And guess what?  The price is right!  I purchased it, paid for the transportation from US to Costa Rica with a freight-forwarder and paid the Custom taxes on it, for the same amount of money that I would spend only on the of purchase of any other easel of it caliber, an that would never compare to David Sorg's Signature Easel.

David himself responded to my emails and guided me though the whole process, and checked with me on the transit and the arrival.  All that online.   Just great customer service!

Once it arrived, I had somebody carry the pieces upstairs to my studio and I assembled it by myself and I am only 5'3".  The instructions are easy.

I've owned it for several months now and I use it everyday and I tell you, it is my dream easel.  It is well built and just a fine piece of engineering for any serious artist.  I could not be happier, it makes my work even more enjoyable and I thought that was impossible!  That is why I had to place my recommendation on my site and share it with you.  I am 100% satisfied customer.
